Dental Diva Kakai Bautista sends an empowering message in her newly released single \u201cKarapat-Dapat<\/a>,\u201d a pop track that speaks about valuing one\u2019s worth despite the judgment and criticism other people may throw in life. <\/p>\n

Trisha Denise composed the song that was produced by StarPop label head Roque \u201cRox\u201d Santos. Kakai also took inspiration from her personal experience with bullying and hopes to help listeners find confidence to bounce back from their struggles in life through her latest music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was bullied during my childhood days at ang laking part nito sa buhay ko at sa growth ko as an artist kaya I want to impart yung mga natutunan ko with this experience at yung pwede nating makuhang lakas mula sa masasakit na bagay,\u201d Kakai shared. <\/p>\n

The singer-actress started her career in theater where she became well-known for her performance in the play \u201cAlikabok.\u201d She further explored acting through her roles in blockbuster films such as \u201cCrazy Beautiful You,\u201d \u201cSuddenly It\u2019s Magic\u201d and \u201cHello, Love, Goodbye.\u201d She also starred in various series such as \u201cKay Tagal Kitang Hinintay,\u201d \u201cKokey,\u201d and \u201cCan\u2019t Buy Me Love.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a singer, she debuted with her rendition of \u201cBakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita\u201d in 2016 which earned more than five million streams on Spotify. She also released several singles such as \u201cPag-ibig Ko\u2019y Panalo,\u201d \u201cHuwag Ka Nang Bumalik,\u201d and \u201cTingnan Mo Naman Ako.\u201d<\/p>\n
